[[Romeo]] was a [[United States Customs Service|U.S. Customs Service]] agent. He was the partner of [[Joe King]] and was involved in the [[Hashemi sting]] operation, which was designed to entrap individuals connected with [[Israel|Israeli]] intelligence arms sales to [[Iran]].[^1]
[[Romeo]] and [[Joe King|King]] contacted [[Cyrus Hashemi]] and contrived an illegal frame-up. [[Romeo]] also videotaped some of the people [[Cyrus Hashemi|Hashemi]] met and secretly recorded.[^1]
