Bruce Williams was a U.S. Army attaché in [[Israel]]. He accompanied [[Orwin C. Talbott]] during a meeting with [[David Elazar]] in early 1974, where Elazar revealed [[Israel]]'s preparedness to use nuclear weapons against the Syrians if they had broken through during the 1973 [[Yom Kippur War]]. Williams recalled Elazar's remarks as revelatory, stating that the message was clear.[^1]
