The Arms Control and Disarmament Agency (ACDA) was a U.S. government agency responsible for arms control and disarmament policy. [[Charles N. Van Doren]] served as its deputy general counsel during the [[Richard M. Nixon|Nixon]] administration. The ACDA was involved in discussions and reports regarding nuclear proliferation, including the Gilpatric report which warned about the spread of nuclear weapons.[^1]
