The [[Golani infantry brigade]] is an elite infantry brigade of the [[Israel Defense Forces|Israeli Defense Forces]]. [[Uri Simchoni]], a member of the [[Iran-Israel Joint Committee]], was formerly the chief of this brigade.[^1]
[[Ari Ben-Menashe]]'s basic training in the military was in a special infantry unit known as Golani, where he undertook a special high-explosives sabotage course.[^1]
