Gary Glitter was a British glam rock artist whose career was helped to success by [[Chris Denning]], who catapulted him to the Top of the Pops in the 1970s. In November 1997, a week after Denning's arrest, Glitter was arrested by British authorities after child pornography was discovered on a computer he had taken into a repair store.[^1]
