Prescott Sheldon Bush (May 15, 1895 to October 8, 1972) was a partner in [[Brown Brothers Harriman]] and a Republican who represented [[Connecticut]] in the [[United States Senate]] from November 4, 1952 to January 2, 1963.[^1] He was the father of President [[George H.W. Bush]] and the grandfather of President [[George W. Bush]].[^1] The [[Federal Register]] of November 7, 1942 lists him among the registered holders of the [[Union Banking Corporation]], a New York bank whose stock the [[Alien Property Custodian]] vested as held for a Dutch bank owned or controlled, in the order's words, by members of the Thyssen family.[^2]
