[[Clint Borge]] (full name Clint Jordan Lopaka Nahooikaika Borge, aliases "Whoops" and "Jordan") is a member of [[CVLT]] and the [[764 Network|764]] network, based in [[Pahoa, Hawaii]] on the Big Island. He was 41 at arrest and 42 at his December 2025 guilty plea. The investigation that identified him as the fourth core CVLT member was conducted by [[Iowa State University Police Department]] Officer [[Kami Feld]], who subpoenaed IP and payment records that linked a fictitious Honolulu address to his actual Pahoa residence.[^1]
[[Clint Borge]] (Clint Jordan Lopaka Nahooikaika Borge, born 1983) is a resident of [[Pahoa, Hawaii]], on the Big Island, charged in the January 17, 2025 indictment in [[United States v. Rane et al. (2-25-cr-00040)|United States v. Rane et al.]] as one of four members of [[CVLT]]. The indictment lists his online names as "Whoops" and "Jordan."[^1] The [[Department of Justice]] gave his age as 41 at the January 30, 2025 arrest and 42 at the March 26, 2026 release that described his guilty plea.[^2][^3]
### Identification and Arrest
### Identification by Iowa State University Police
Federal investigators at [[Homeland Security Investigations]] (HSI) had identified three of the four CVLT core leaders before Borge's real-world identity was established. His Discord alias "Whoops" was known; his identity was not. In November 2020, an Iowa State University student reported ongoing blackmail to ISUPD, and Officer Kami Feld's investigation led to subpoenas to electronic service providers. One subpoena response returned IP activity across four locations, including Hawaii. A digital payment account associated with the IP trail used the address 4 Goldfield Road, Honolulu. Feld's verification search found that address linked to several suspicious businesses but no verifiable physical location. The investigation traced from the Honolulu address to Borge's actual residence in Pahoa, Hawaii. HSI Honolulu conducted the physical arrest when the indictment was unsealed in February 2025.[^1]
The case against Borge began with a November 2020 report to the [[Iowa State University Police Department]] (ISUPD) by a first-year student, who said that a man she had met online in 2018, when she was a minor, was threatening to expose photographs of her. A patrol officer interviewed her and issued subpoenas to electronic service providers including [[Google]], [[PayPal]], [[Venmo]], [[Instagram]] and [[Facebook]]; the results went to Officer [[Kami Feld]].[^4][^5] According to Feld, one subpoena response listed four locations of IP activity, among them [[Hawaii]], [[Oregon]] and [[California]].[^5]
At Borge's initial appearance, a federal magistrate denied bail. He was remanded to U.S. Marshals custody and transported to Los Angeles for proceedings before District Judge [[Hernan D. Vera]] in the [[Central District of California]].[^2]
An online payment account in the case carried the address "4 Goldfield Road" in [[Honolulu]]. Feld told an Iowa State audience on March 31, 2026 that no such road exists on [[Oahu]], that web searches returned only pages tied to the address with a fake phone number, and that the account holder had used false names, birth dates and phone numbers.[^5] The ISU News Service described the same address as attached to several questionable businesses with no map or record showing it existed.[^4] Feld reported the case to the [[Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force|Iowa Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force]], which identified other avenues to pursue, including several search warrants for the account and other providers.[^4] She said it was the third round of warrants on the digital wallet application before a real name came back: Borge's own name and money had funded the accounts that were otherwise registered under invented identities.[^5]
### Federal Case (United States v. Rane, 2:25-cr-00040)
The ISU News Service reported that months of reviewing subpoenaed records from internet providers, email addresses, social media platforms and banking accounts allowed Feld to identify a suspect, whose banking records showed purchases of file-sharing software and of services used to disguise internet activity.[^4] Feld and the task force found that some of the evidence was connected to an active [[Homeland Security Investigations]] (HSI) investigation that had only an IP address and no identified suspect; HSI joined the Iowa State case in June 2021, and the IP address was tied to Borge.[^4] In her 2026 account, Feld said she met Iowa ICAC officials in [[Des Moines, Iowa|Des Moines]] and was connected to the Hawaii ICAC task force, and that HSI took up the case 13 days after the Hawaii commander "put out feelers." Deconfliction then produced a hit in [[Los Angeles]], where HSI Special Agent [[Theo Cushing]] was the primary agent on CVLT. The Los Angeles team, she said, knew three of the four core members and had only the [[Discord]] username "Whoops" for the fourth, and her IP addresses supplied his identity.[^5]
The grand jury returned the indictment on January 17, 2025. Borge faced one count of engaging in a child exploitation enterprise under [[18 U.S.C. § 2252A(g)]]. DOJ filings described Borge as a member of the enterprise who participated in and directed victims during the creation of CVLT extortion videos and other CSAM. He was distinguished from [[Rohan Rane]], [[Kaleb Merritt]], and [[Collin Walker]], who were charged as leaders and administrators who also hosted and ran CVLT servers and controlled membership.[^3]
### The August 2021 Search
Borge pleaded guilty in December 2025. Judge Vera scheduled his sentencing for March 12, 2026. As of May 2026, no DOJ press release announcing Borge's actual sentence had been published, suggesting the hearing may have been continued. He faces a mandatory minimum of 20 years and a maximum of life imprisonment.[^4]
In August 2021 Feld flew to Hawaii as part of a team that interviewed Borge and executed a search warrant on the house where he was living.[^4] Feld told the Iowa State audience that the warrant was served at 5 a.m. because investigators had concluded from his internet patterns that he stayed up until about 4 a.m.; that Borge had no full-time employment and had earlier been a care provider for his grandparents; that the house had been left to him by them; and that officers interviewed him in his grandparents' bedroom, which he had kept as it was. She said investigators seized eight terabytes of electronic evidence from his desktop alone, that forensic analysis ran from 2021 to 2024, and that the material included chat in which members bragged about their conduct to one another.[^5]
The ISU News Service reported that investigators obtained several confessions during the interview.[^4] In a February 2025 interview with [[KCCI]] (carried by [[KCRG]]), Feld recalled asking Borge whether he was self-taught in computing and said he answered, in her words, "Obviously not tech savvy enough, otherwise you wouldn't be here."[^6]
The indictment followed more than three years after the search. The ISU News Service wrote that it took months to go through the evidence, identify victims and reach the point where charges could be filed, and that the investigation identified more than 30 victims, some as young as 11.[^4] The indictment was returned on January 17, 2025.[^1]
### Indictment
The indictment, returned by the October 2024 grand jury in the [[Central District of California]], charged [[Rohan Rane]], [[Collin Walker]], [[Kaleb Merritt]] and Borge with one count of engaging in a child exploitation enterprise under [[18 U.S.C. § 2252A(g)]], with conduct alleged from at least 2019 through about 2022 in [[Los Angeles County, California|Los Angeles]] and [[San Bernardino County, California|San Bernardino]] Counties "and elsewhere." It described CVLT as an internet group whose members enticed and coerced children to produce sexual abuse material on servers run by CVLT on a platform it called "Platform D," and it recited neo-Nazism, nihilism and pedophilia as the group's core principles. It also carried a forfeiture allegation under 18 U.S.C. § 2253.[^1]
The indictment states that Borge joined CVLT at least as early as 2020 under the names "Whoops" and "Jordan," and that Rane, Walker and Merritt additionally acted as leaders and administrators, hosting servers or directing others to, controlling membership and access, and directing victims.[^1] Borge is named in the specific felony counts as the actor for four minor victims, with conduct dated to 2019 for one and 2021 for the other three (one of whom is also charged against Rane), and for two further victims in a final count that lists an unindicted CVLT coconspirator's conduct on August 15 and 16, 2021 and Borge's conduct "to an unknown date in 2021." The indictment identifies victims by number only.[^1] The Department of Justice release of January 30, 2025 described Rane, Walker and Merritt as the leaders and administrators and listed Borge as a member of the enterprise, with at least 16 minor victims around the world, two of them in Southern California.[^2]
### Arrest and Detention
Homeland Security Investigations agents arrested Borge in Hawaii on January 30, 2025, in an operation coordinated with an arrest of Walker in [[New Jersey]]. HSI Los Angeles, Honolulu and Cherry Hill ran the investigation with the [[Los Angeles Police Department]], the [[San Bernardino County Sheriff's Office]], the [[Henry County Sheriff's Office]] in Virginia, the Iowa State University police, the [[Police Nationale]] of France, the [[National Crime Agency]] of the United Kingdom, the [[New Zealand]] [[Department of Internal Affairs]] and [[Europol]].[^2][^7] The [[Hawaii Tribune-Herald]] reported that day that he and Walker were expected to make initial appearances in Honolulu and New Jersey.[^8]
The District of Hawaii record (magistrate case 1:25-mj-00062, filed January 30, 2025) shows an initial appearance on January 31, 2025 before Magistrate Judge [[Rom Trader]], at which Borge waived identity and Rule 5.1 hearings and the court appointed [[Catherine P. Gutierrez]] as counsel. The United States, represented by Assistant U.S. Attorney [[Mohammad Khatib]], had moved to detain him. Magistrate Judge [[Wes Reber Porter]] held the detention hearing on February 4, 2025, found that no condition or combination of conditions would reasonably assure his appearance and the safety of the community, granted the motion and committed him to the Central District of California.[^9] The Hawaii Tribune-Herald reported the ruling as an order that Borge be held without bail pending transfer to Los Angeles.[^10]
The Central District docket records an arrest date of February 27, 2025 on the commencement report (the warrant return states it was executed January 30), an initial appearance continued on February 28 before Magistrate Judge [[Patricia Donahue]], and, on March 3, 2025, a contested detention hearing before Magistrate Judge [[Brianna Fuller Mircheff]], at which retained counsel [[Matthew D. Kohn]] appeared and Borge was ordered permanently detained. The same day he was arraigned and entered a not guilty plea; trial was set for April 29, 2025 before Judge [[Hernan D. Vera]].[^11]
### Proceedings in Los Angeles
On March 7, 2025 Judge Vera entered a stipulated protective order on the privacy of child victim information. The trial date was moved from April 29, 2025 to October 7, 2025 on a stipulation of March 21, 2025, and then to February 24, 2026 on a stipulation of September 8, 2025.[^12] The prosecutors of record were Assistant U.S. Attorneys [[Catharine A. Richmond]] and, from December 2025, [[Kellye Ng]], with [[Justin Sher]] and [[James Donnelly]] of the [[National Security Division]] Counterterrorism Section; the January 2025 release listed the case under both [[Project Safe Childhood]] and Counterterrorism.[^2][^13]
The docket carries a run of under-seal filings by the government, most of them as to all four defendants and one, on March 5, 2025, as to Borge alone: an ex parte application for an order sealing a document with a declaration of Richmond (March 5, 2025); sealed applications and orders (March 18, 2025); a notice of manual filing of sealed documents (June 2, 2025); another (September 9, 2025), followed by a sealed minute order on September 17, 2025; a sealed application and three sealed documents (December 3, 2025) and a sealed minute order (December 5, 2025); a notice of manual filing of an under-seal document on December 17, 2025 and a sealed document entered December 22, 2025; and further sealing applications and sealed documents on January 28, February 2, February 27 and March 2, 2026. The docket entries give no content for these filings.[^13]
### Guilty Plea
On December 17, 2025 Borge, represented by Kohn and with Richmond and Ng for the government, changed his plea before Judge Vera to guilty on the single count of the indictment. The minutes record that the plea agreement was changed by interlineation by stipulation of all parties, that the court found the plea knowing, voluntary and intelligent, referred him to the Probation Office for a presentence report, vacated the pretrial and trial dates, and set sentencing for March 12, 2026 at 1:30 p.m.[^14]
The count carries a mandatory minimum of 20 years and a maximum of life.[^2][^3] The March 26, 2026 release announcing Merritt's plea, issued two weeks after the March 12 setting, said that Walker and Borge had pleaded guilty in October 2025 and December 2025 respectively, were "expected to be sentenced in the coming months" and remained in federal custody.[^3] The docket records Walker's sentencing continued from January 29, 2026 to May 28, 2026 by an order of December 5, 2025.[^15]
### CVLT and the Hawaii Cases
[[Marc-André Argentino]] and the [[Accelerationism Research Consortium]] list "Clint Jordan Lopaka Nahooikaika (Whoops)" among CVLT members who "eventually rose to administrative roles," with Rane, Walker, Merritt, [[Kalana Limkin]] ("Vore"), [[Bradley Cadenhead]] and others, and describe CVLT as a direct precursor of [[764 Network|764]] within [[The Com]]. Their assessment says several early CVLT leaders identified with the [[Order of Nine Angles]] and that 764 drew on that milieu and on the [[Terrorgram]] Collective.[^16] Feld described the group's aim as producing "a Satanist following"; the indictment's phrase is "an army of sadist followers."[^1][^5]
A separate Hawaii prosecution concerns Limkin, of [[Hilo, Hawaii|Hilo]], who pleaded guilty on February 13, 2025 to possession of child pornography as co-founder and ringleader of an online group called "Cultists," and was sentenced on July 16, 2026 to 10 years in prison and 20 years of supervised release. The [[FBI]] investigated that case, which Assistant U.S. Attorney Mohammad Khatib, who appeared for the government at Borge's Hawaii detention hearing, prosecuted with Sher and Donnelly of the National Security Division's Counterterrorism Section, the same two trial attorneys listed on the CVLT case. The District of Hawaii release carried the topic counterterrorism.[^2][^9][^17]
The March 2026 Department of Justice release quoted Assistant Attorney General for National Security [[John A. Eisenberg]] describing CVLT as "a criminal enterprise" and HSI Los Angeles Special Agent in Charge [[Eddy Wang]] saying HSI agents uncovered the scheme through "extensive investigation, analysis of electronic communication, and victim reporting."[^3]
