The [[United States]] Tower Commission probe into Iran-gate revealed that [[Monzer Al-Kassar]], a Syrian kingpin and arms dealer, had been paid $1.2 million by Secord to move weapons from [[Israel]] to the Nicaraguan [[Contras]].[^1]
