The [[Golani infantry brigade]] is an elite infantry brigade of the [[Israel|Israeli Defense Forces]]. [[Uri Simchoni]], whom [[Ari Ben-Menashe]] names as a member of the [[Iran-Israel Joint Committee]], was formerly the chief of this brigade.[^1]

Ben-Menashe's basic training in the military was in a special infantry unit known as Golani, where he undertook a special high-explosives sabotage course.[^1]
