J.J. Klaver is a retired special agent of the [[Federal Bureau of Investigation]] who served nearly 26 years, eight of them in northwest [[Indiana]] and the rest from 1998 in [[Philadelphia]], where he was the field office's spokesman for his last seven years before retiring on August 31, 2015. He later founded Klaver Consulting Associates.[^1][^2]

He had no role in the [[Olney House Investigation]]. In September 2026 he told *[[Newsweek]]*: "Obviously, this guy's a serial killer," of [[R.C. Horsch]], and said that investigators were likely treating the case as a serial-killer inquiry without saying so, because "they don't have any bodies." Of [[Eugene Horsch]] he said: "I don't want to say he's following in his father's footsteps, but he appears to be taking it one step further." Eugene Horsch's lawyer, [[Jerome Brown]], replied: "We categorically deny that Eugene Horsch is a serial killer."[^3]
