The Golani infantry brigade is an elite infantry brigade of the Israel Defense Forces. Uri Simchoni, a member of the Iran-Israel Joint Committee, was formerly the chief of this brigade.1

Ari Ben-Menashe's basic training in the military was in a special infantry unit known as Golani, where he undertook a special high-explosives sabotage course.1
