Krista Marie Killen (June 15, 1978, to August 16, 2025) was a [[Philadelphia]] woman who was the longtime companion of the pornographic filmmaker [[R.C. Horsch]]. She appeared in his films, lived off and on from 2016 at the Horsch house on West Chew Avenue in the [[Olney, Philadelphia|Olney]] section of the city, and died at 47, about three months after Horsch. The house is the subject of the [[Olney House Investigation]].[^1][^2][^5]

### Films
Killen first appeared in Horsch's 2003 film *Slaves*. She recalled wondering during the shoot, "Is he gonna [expletive] kill me?", and Horsch told her, "This is a movie. I don't want you to be scared."[^3] In 2017 he filmed her using drugs for the documentary *Whore!*, in which she described her own behavior as "slow suicide."[^3] She is credited as Krista Marie Killen in multiple films he directed, including one released as recently as 2021, and at times listed the Chew Avenue house as her residence.[^4]

Horsch's self-published novels include scenes of violence against women. In one of them the narrator dissolves a body with chemicals in a bathtub.[^2] The *[[New York Post]]* reported that in his 2014 self-published book *Empathy: The Memoir of an Empathetic Serial Killer* the narrator kills an addict named Krista whom he met in Kensington, and quoted the line "Krista will live longer than most because she will always exist in my [photographs]."[^6]

### The Olney House
Killen was estranged from her family. She told friends that Horsch was never violent toward her and that she cared for him, and she viewed him as her protector.[^2][^3] Horsch provided her with housing and drugs, and she posed nude for his photographs and videos, some of which simulated brutality or death.[^3] She was addicted to fentanyl and crack cocaine and at times did sex work on [[Kensington, Philadelphia|Kensington]] Avenue to stave off withdrawal. Horsch's house stood about three miles north of Kensington.[^3] She continued to perform sex work while living off and on at the house.[^3]

She ran errands for Horsch when his eyesight deteriorated, driving him in an aging Chrysler luxury sedan.[^3] In 2025 a motorist sued Horsch, Killen, and an unidentified man, claiming that the three had crashed a [[Chrysler]] 300 into her SUV near [[Adams Avenue, Philadelphia|Adams Avenue]] and [[Montour Street]] in 2023. Court papers list Killen's occupation as "caregiver" and as the "adult in charge of residence."[^4]

Friends described her fear of [[Eugene Horsch]], the son of R.C. Horsch, who she told friends was prone to drug-fueled bouts of rage and carried knives and guns.[^3] She told two friends that one night she was asleep when Eugene shattered her bedroom door and threatened to kill her, and that Raymond, then 80, pulled his son away.[^2] In a second version of the account, the incident took place about two years before mid-2026, in the basement of the house, where her cat BabyCat slept beside her, and says that she awoke to a crash as Eugene shattered the lock on her door, burst in armed with a gun, and screamed that he was going to kill her, according to two of her friends.[^3] She said she was afraid to enter the basement of the house because Eugene had told her he had hurt people there.[^3] [[Danielle Wynne]], a longtime friend, said: "Krista was always fearful that if something happened to Ray or he passed away, Eugene would not know what to do and not know how to control himself."[^3]

### Final Months
In late 2024, after a long infection in her leg, doctors amputated it above the knee. A month later her cat, BabyCat, died of a brain tumor.[^3] R.C. Horsch died of a lung condition in May 2025. Three days after his death, a lit cigarette started a fire in the second-floor bedroom where Killen had moved after losing part of her leg. The fire destroyed most of her belongings.[^3] The fire brought police to the house, where officers found a marijuana grow and guns.[^3]

Killen died on August 16, 2025.[^1][^3] Investigators searching the house in 2026 found her death certificate, and the affidavit of probable cause for the search gave the cause of death as "drug intoxication."[^4] The city medical examiner found that she had overdosed at the age of 47; she was one of at least five women connected to Raymond Horsch who "ultimately died of accidental drug overdoses."[^3][^2] Eugene Horsch later told people close to Killen that she had died just outside the house, or shortly after he took her to the hospital.[^3] Investigators also found five urns in the house.[^3] A funeral home obituary gives her age as 47 and states that services and interment were private.[^1]
Eugene Horsch announced her death on her [[Facebook]] page. He wrote: "Please let everyone know we were in love and we were going to get married." Her friends said neither of those things was true.[^3]
