The [[Australian Security Intelligence Organization]] (ASIO) is [[Australia|Australia's]] internal intelligence service. It was informed by *The [[Sydney Morning Herald]]* about [[Oscar Guerrero|Oscar Guerrero's]] attempt to sell photographs of [[Israel|Israel's]] nuclear facility, provided by [[Mordecai Vanunu]]. ASIO then passed this information to the [[Australian Security Intelligence Service|Australian Security Intelligence Service]] (ASIS), who informed Israel.[^1]
According to [[Ari Ben-Menashe]], aircraft loaded with arms landed in Western Australia, en route to [[Tehran]], with the permission of the Australian Security Intelligence Organization, as part of a smokescreen operation by the [[Iran-Israel Joint Committee]].[^2] He also wrote that C-130 aircraft flew from Vietnam to Western Australia from early 1986.[^3]
