Mir Hossein Mousavi was the Prime Minister of Iran. He had close ties with Manuchehr Ghorbanifar, an Iran businessman and Central Intelligence Agency agent. Mir Hossein Mousavi was aligned with Mohsen Rafiqdoost, the minister for the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, and tried to open the second channel for arms sales to Iran.1
