Gary Sick is a former Jimmy Carter administration adviser on Iran. He is the author of October Surprise, a book that systematically examines the evidence suggesting a secret deal between the Ronald Reagan campaign and Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini to delay the release of USA hostages in Iran until after the 1980 presidential election.1
Gary Sick allegations, along with those of Ari Ben-Menashe, were investigated by the October Surprise Task Force and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.1
