[[William Callaway]] was a Cabazon member. He, along with [[Joseph R. (Mike) Benitez]], discovered the bodies of [[Fred Alvarez]], [[Ralph Boger]], and [[Patricia Castro]] on July 1, 1981. Callaway, Benitez, and Alvarez were scheduled to meet with attorney [[Steve Rios]] on July 1, 1981, to initiate an investigation of [[Cabazon Tribal Council|Cabazon]] tribal affairs.[^1]
